A GIVEAWAY (that you do not want to miss)…and Our New May Sponsors!!

Written by Dawn.

As you all know, this past weekend Andrea, Maria and I traveled to Nashville, TN to run in the County Music Half and Full Marathons. For those who do not read our personal blogs, I will keep you in suspense as to the majority of what happened last weekend (until next Tuesday, that is :)). I will say we all finished, we were all thrilled and Maria and Andrea got great gifts for finishing…

It all started when Andrea turned 30. For her 3oth birthday I got her a key chain with discs that said 5K and 10K, as those were the race distances she had ran up to that point. In that gift I gave her an IOU for a 13.1 and a 26.2 disc.

Saturday she earned the 13.1 disc. And I was prepared. I had it all ready to give to her after the race. I also wanted to reward Maria for her completely awesome completion of her first marathon…26.2 miles. So she got a key chain with a 5K, 15K, 13.1 and 26.2 disc. They are gorgeous. I love both of the key chains. They are dainty but sturdy. And very attractive. They are a wonderful addition to any key chain (or could even be a stand alone necklace). I love them.

And now us ladies at Our Cups Runneth Over want you to be able to get your own key chain or necklace…whether it be for running (or any athletic endeavor), your family or a special hobby. That is why we are giving away a $25 gift certificate to Gracie and Me Design.

Gracie and Me Design is on Etsy (seriously…Etsy is a treasure trove of wonderment). When I was searching for a gift for Andrea I stumbled upon this shop. Because I had procrastinated a bit (I’m indecisive like that) I was starting to run short on time for ordering and getting a gift delivered in time. I asked the shop owner, Barbara, about the possibility of a rush delivery. What she did was simply amazing…she had the items custom made THAT day and shipped the next day. There are a lot of big box businesses out there but Barbara and her shop are great reminders that many times small businesses are the way to go.

I am a repeat customer of Gracie and Me Design and have a feeling I will be a customer for a long time to come!! Loving the product and loving Barbara’s customer service make me want to keep coming back.

And, as mentioned, you are eligible to win a $25 Gift Certificate. To enter all you have to do is leave a comment on this post or any other post published between now and next Friday, May 13, 2011 (by noon). Want more than one entry? All you have to do blog about it on your blog, twitter it, or share on Facebook. If you do just one or all three of those, leave a comment for each one telling us which one you did and where to find it and you will receive another entry.

Trust me…this is a Giveaway you want to enter:)

We also wanted to take a minute to introduce our May sponsors. We just love our sponsors and these are no exception.

Sweet Cricket Design

Sweet Cricket Design is also one of those wonderful Etsy treasures. I originally discovered Sweet Cricket Design when I was looking for someone to design our family’s Christmas cards. I searched and searched but kept coming back to Sweet Cricket Design. I emailed the shop’s owner, Kate, and she was so sweet and easy to work with that I just had to go with her company. And I was so excited when she wanted to run an ad on Our Cups Runneth Over. You can find her on here for at least two months. I cannot stress enough what a dream she is to work with.

So for any invitation, announcement or holiday cards, check out Sweet Cricket Design. If you do not want to work with someone directly, something else very cool about this shop is you can find the card designs on Snapfish. Kate has tons of designs on Snapfish for you to choose from.

Mothers’ Central Blog

Mothers’ Central Blog is a weekly blog written by Kate Fineske about all things Mom. It is a blog all moms can relate to, as Kate Fineske relays her views on motherhood.

The National Association of Mothers’ Center focuses on motherhood and the challenges, reality and value of mothering. This group is a great resource for all mothers out there. Kate is part of an Ohio chapter and she would love to share some of her mothering viewpoints with you.

Interestingly, Kate and I grew up in the same town and were acquaintances growing up (we went to different schools). We reconnected after I read one of her posts and just knew I knew here. The ladies at Our Cups Runneth Over are so excited that Kate will be a guest blogger this month on our blog…make sure you check it and her Mothers’ Central blog out…you will be glad you did.

Please visit our site to see our other wonderful sponsors.

We all hope you have a wonderful weekend!
